Broken Wings Recap

Since I’m going to start working on issue 3 soon,  let’s get caught up with the story so far.
Songbirds is inspired by Japanese BL and yaoi (if you don’t what that is, perhaps you’re lost?) and V.C. Andrews novels.  It is about the intense romantic relationship  between two  insanely pretty aspiring male singers. This story is intended for mature readers, though there’s nothing explicit, just drama.

Character Bios

Zione Tempest  went from rags to riches when the Tempests adopted him at age 10. Since then he has led a very privileged life.  There is literally nothing they can’t buy him, except for what he wants the most, fame. He is waiting for the right lead singer to put his band Void on the map.  When he hears Gavin’s voice, he knows he is the one. Not only the one for his band, but possibly the one for him.
Gavin Star  is the love child of one of rock’s greatest duets, the Shining Stars. After their tragic deaths he was sent to live with his strict abusive uncle. He is not allowed to watch TV, listen to music or have anything resembling a normal social life due to his uncle’s strict beliefs. He loves singing more than anything, but his uncle forbids him to use his talents besides for church. He is desperate for something to change in his life, and it does when he meets Zione.
Alan Tempest is the manager of  Zione’s  band Void as well as his guardian  Alan was a child genius who graduated high school at age 12 and got his first two degrees at 16. He currently works against his will for his father’s record company. Their relationship is strained to say the least. He is closer to Zione than any of his blood relatives, some would say too close . Just what is going on between them, Alan is fixated on Zione to put it mildly. They are very close, having survived growing up in the twisted Tempest household. He will be  one of the biggest obstacle to Gavin’s and Zione’s relationship, just how far will he go to keep them apart?
